A succesful Systems Support Specialist, Impax Data Center (IDC):
1. Is responsible for providing expert level Incident Management for Agfa’s Impax Data Center and Xero products line installed on mission critical systems in the Health Care environment
2. Provide technical support to field engineers and technicians during customer installations and troubleshooting efforts.
3. May also be involved with customer training
4. Performs periodic health checks on installed systems to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues
5. Develops, documents, and delivers product/solution training, learning and knowledge sharing activities through various methods for service and supports teams within Agfa Healthcare.
Job requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- + 5 years of experience in technical customer support
- Strong understanding of IT: Wintel and UNIX (Solaris, Linux) platforms, networking, storage technology, web servers, user authentication (LDAP, SSO)
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL database applications
- Working knowledge of various scripting languages (bash, SQL, TCL, etc)
- Demonstrated Accountability, Teamwork, Ownership, and Professionalism -- A.T.O.P.™ behaviour
- Strong customer service orientation, interacting with both internal and external customers
- Excellent oral and written English language skills
- Language skills (oral and written) other than English are assets
- Previous conflict and stress management experience
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience working in a global environment (networking and building relationships with individuals in remote locations)
- Demonstrated experience adapting to change and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Previous mentoring and teaching / training experience
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
- Must be eligible to apply for customer initiated security clearances such as the US government’s National Agency Check (NAC)
